Working on producing a piece for the Scarecrow Design Showcase in Old Sacramento -- entries due Oct. 6-7, 3-6 p.m., 120 J Street (aka "Scarecrow Park" for the month of October starting Second Saturday, October 10). No cost to enter.

Hoping some of the area's talented artists will likewise submit a scarecrow. Small cash prizes will be awarded ... but the best part is seeing your work in the outdoor art space throughout the month of October.
