Tiare Tavake Gordon

Art and design is a major influence in my life. I grew up in the bay area and I attended School of the Arts High School in San Francisco. All paintings shown are big and all are acrylic. I also paint in oils but I love mixed media. I graduated in 2004 as a visual arts major and the opportunity for receiving an education in a performing arts school is amazing scoring secial recognition with Mayor Newsom, Tom Lantos with San Mateo County and won first place with the Elks Awards, California Art Scholar Award in 2004 with Arnold, and the Merit Scholarship. I recommend high school education with a performing arts high school for any teen interested in the arts. Later in 2004, I attended California College of the Arts and in 2007 Art Center College of Design majoring both in Illustration. I love architecture, buildings and Edward Hopper and music. I am currently 23 years old, and I attend Los Rios Colleges now majoring in Advertising/Marketing. The most important aspect of my life is my family whom I absolutely adore. I am a Pacific Islander, specifically Samoan, which may also explain why I obtain my family morals and values. I currently work as a beverage server for Red Hawk Casino and still draw and paint as much as I can when ideas pop up in my head.
